Ho Chi Minh is another named as Saigon. I saw a lot of Saigon coffee but it was not different from Vietnam coffee for me. Ho Chi Minh is modernized as a economical city with hot humid air that there were modern style of ice speciality menu that was unique in each cafe. Each cafe has their personalities & concepts that was fun to get in touch that it’s very competitive.

The Coffee Apartment(8AM-12AM)

Cafes gathered in a 9fl. apartment near Bến Thành Market. I was too early to be there that I couldn’t get a drink, but it was interesting. There is a big electric store that it may be difficult to find entrance where locates at the left edge of its building to get in. There are spa, steak & Japanese restaurant that you can enjoy.

96B Cafe & Roastery(8AM-6PM)

This cafe offers a workshop & speciality coffee. Their serving style is very uniquely stylish like a cocktail in concrete neat designed cafe room. Cold brew & sweets were delicious. Their take away cold brew, cold therapy, bottle could be a great souvenir that you can check it out their website.

The Thousand Beans – Lab Coffee(7:30AM-10PM)

It’s very modern looking lab cafe offering a several kinds of unique speciality coffee. Their blend concept is relaxation that describes in coffee. They serve a Vietnam phin coffee that I wanted too try but too much caffeine for me this day. The coconut coffee was beautifully presented and very tasty. It’s a bit pricy for a small portion to buy a bean, but it’s def. unique stylish coffee for souvenir too.

SHIN Heritage(7:30AM-10:30PM)

This cafe is also modern looking and it’s like a concept coffee bar. They also has their own blend for a relaxation serving. They offer the PLEIKU BLEND organic, strong body, chocolate, honey, sweet aftertaste to start with is the best to start with. It was a strong body that it was good with a pastry. There are a variety types of each city or blends of beans that can enjoy taking back to your home as a souvenir.

Weasel Coffee Roastery (9AM-8PM *He says open for 24hr though)

The owner gives you a guide to walkthrough different types of beans, roasting, brewing styles, and flavors with his passion. I was grateful to learn both roasting process & barista process to make a tasteful coffee which I didn’t get to learn at farm in Da Lat. I think it’s rare to get experience like this unless you book for a workshop. Of course, the coffee was so delicious. Also, they offer beans that it’s very nice souvenir with story.

Apartment KaFe

It’s nice to stop by a small cafe when you are in Phuong 1 area. Ice salt coffee tasted perfect that I needed. A barista who was there told me that this place is good for freeze coffee & juice. It’s good if you’re walking under the sun for a long time in the city to take a moment for a cold breeze.
